La Malvarrosa beach is one of the most famous beaches of Valencia and one of the most visited too, for its proximity to the city.

La Malvarrosa is part of Poblats Marítims neighbourhood, located by the sea and bordering north with Alboraya (a little village near Valencia) and south with Cabanyal-Canyamelar area.

Nowadays, in Malvarrosa beach we can walk along the beautiful promenade area and visit the House of Blasco Ibáñez.

The name Malvarrosa comes from the plant “malvas rosáceas” that formerly was in this area. In the beginning, the Malvarrosa was a fisherman neighbourhood and had a marshy ground.

La Malvarrosa beach has fine and golden sand and is a very popular location, since there are many things to do and many places where to eat and drink. Malvarrosa beach has also lifeguard positions and suitable areas fo people with disabilities.
