Luis Adelantado Gallery was founded in 1985 in Valencia by Luis Adelantado, to whom it was named. Since its foundation the art gallery focused on the promotion and dissemination of art.
There have been numerous national and international artists who have gathered in Luis Adelantado Gallery, since it is one of the most important art galleries in Valencia. Some of the artists were Susana Solano, Juan Uslé, Luis Gordillo, Pedro Cabrita Reis, Darío Villalba, Sophie Calle.
Since 1997, Luis Adelantado Gallery holds an international competition each year addresses to young artists in order to support ontemporary art. In 2009, the gallery opened a new space in Mexico.
