Plaça de l'Almoina, s/n +34 963 918 127

The construction of Miguelete began in 1381 and ended 48 years later in 1429. It is classified as one of the most emblematic monuments in Valencia. For many centuries, Miguelete was called “Campanar Nou” (New Bell Tower) or “Campanar de la Catedral” (Cathedral Bell Tower), to differentiate it from “Campanar Vell” (Old Bell Tower), a square tower of Romanesque style.

The name “Miguelete” derives from a blessing given to the main bell that occurred on 29 September 1418, the day of San Miguel.

Miguelete, besides being the main bell tower of the city, was used as a lighthouse and also an area to launch fireworks. Miguelete is a Gothic tower of about 70 meters high and 207 steps. From this tower you can experience of one of the best views of Valencia.
