Principal Theater has the honor of being the first theater in Valencia. Its construction began in 1774, but the initial design was changed several times. It opened in 1832, although its works finished in 1854.
The interior part of the building is decorated following the style of the previous century, being included in the rococo style.
In the Nineties, Principal Theater underwent reforms to adapt to the rules and make it more comfortable, modern and accessible for everybody. The programming varies since it recommends live music, dance and theater performance.
