IVAM (Valencian Institute of Modern Art) aims to investigate and disseminate art of the Twentieth Century. It’s home to many art collections and exhibitions and various publications delve into the museums installations. The museum has been the topic of conferences, courses, workshops and other exhibitions related to the field of contemporary art.

Its permanent collection includes:

Julio Gonzalez’s art works makes up for about 400 works of art including sculptures, drawings, and paintings. Some of the most notable works: “Los enamorados” (Lovers), “Mujer ante el espejo” (Woman in the mirror) and Daphne.

Ignacio Pinazo’s collection includes more than 100 paintings and 600 drawings from the Impressionist painter. “Toldos” (Awnings), “El corral de la casa de Marco”(Marco’s house yard), and “Cementerio y Anochecer en la escollera” (Cemetery and Sunset on the breakwater) are some works of art that stand out.

Miquel Navarro’s collection consists of more than 500 works from the author who is famous for his sculpture “The Pink Panther”, a work of art known to all Valencian people.
