Restorations on the church of San Nicolas have resurrected it as one of Valencia's greatest highlights.

Restorations on the church of San Nicolas in Valencia (Spanish) have resurrected it back into the city’s spot light and a wonderful thing to do in Valencia. The beauty of this intricate piece of art is often deems it the Sistine Chapel of Valencia.

The fresco was designed by Antonio Palomino in 1694 and realised by his pupil Dionis Vidal in 1704. The fresco is designed in a baroque style and depicts the life of Saint Nicolas.

The church of Saint Nicolas in Valencia is tucked quite nicely into the city streets. This only adds to the wonderful surprise of such a well designed structure. It is without a doubt comparable to the beauty of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. The church of San Nicolas in Valencia is a wonderful tourist destination, historical church in Valencia, and a brilliant representation of Roman Catholic churches. Tours are available in English and Spanish.

The restorations on the church of Saint Nicolas in Valencia were overseen by the former director of the Sistine chapel restorations in the Vatican. The project was also done in collaboration with the  faculty for heritage restoration at the Technical University of Valencia (UPV).
